Here, the undergrowth is thick and the trees grow in strange, twisted forms, as if writhing in agony. The thick growth of the woods can make navigation difficult, and many find themselves wandering in circles, hence the name Wandering Woods. The canopy is so thick that light rarely touches the ground.
